The place was a good deal for me cheaper than other places. I booked it online from comparison website and was a best price. The agents were good and helpful. Car given was Dacia lodgy although I picked Clio or similar small car, but it was not a big problem driving it. Car was in good condition I used the car to drive around Romania up and down the hill, bad roads and good roads for 9 days and did over 4,000Km and absolutely no problem with the car apart from squeaky brake pads which is not a big problem as it is just wear and tear. Drop off was easy just park in the airport car park and leave the keys in the key box. Deposit was returned instantly within an hour of drop off. If I go back to Cluj, I would definitely use them again and recommend everyone to use their car for the best service.

Even though Romanian I will write this is English, as same as some people here, in the beginning i was reluctant to use this agency due to the reviews and the website is actually not great and confusing, but I have started to use them and fully recommend. Rented from them a few times now both through Booking and directly, in Cluj airport and in Baia Mare, they have excellent service and great cars. Every time when I come to Romania I use Autonom from Cluj-Napoca and I recommend this company to all the people and friends who are interested in renting top cars that comes along with an outstanding customer service. The cars are well equipped, clean and with low mileage, in one word, are new. The staff is very friendly, happy to help and to satisfy all your needs. I have rented cars from other big companies in U.K but the service, cars and the experience were not as professional and pleasant as with Autonom. You deserve more than 5 stars! We travelled from the U.K to Cluj Napoca to spend 5 days touring Romania. We had read some horror stories about car rental companies so after reading other reviews decided to book our car hire with Autonom. They have an office at cluj airport where you can fill in the paperwork and within 20 minutes you have the keys to your car. We paid a holding deposit of £150 that was refunded when we returned the vehicle after 5 days. What a pleasure they were to deal with, transactions smooth and professional, no under handed extra payments or problems. We took our car through the car wash and gave it a quick clean inside before we returned it. The car itself was a white Seat Toledo which was extremely reliable and very good on fuel consumption. We travelled over 600 miles in 5 days and went into the mountains on some rough roads and the car did not let us down. We cannot recommend this company enough and would definitely use them again should we come back to beautiful Romania. Thanks for being such a reputable company and making our holiday such a success. 5 stars!!
I had a great experience with this company. I received a free upgrade, the car was in excellent condition and customer service was outstanding. Also very appreciated that the damage deposit amount hold which is placed on the credit card at the time the car is picked up was released almost immediately following the car drop off. Will definitely rent here again.

The car was new, clean Renault Megane Grand Coupe diesel (low fuel usage) and we had no problems with it, although parking sensors would be nice since most cars in most rentals are equipped with and they make life a lot easier. When returned, the money blocked on my credit card was released even before I took off from the airport - it never happened so quickly, and I used many car rentals before. Way to go!
